The “F.A.I.T.H. 5” is an easy-to-implement ministry tool to help parents (or equivalent) share faith with their children in the home each and every day. Promoted by Faith Inkubators, there are five simple steps to the F.A.I.T.H. 5 (Faith standing for “Faith Acts In The Home”).
1. SHARE highs & lows of the day
2. READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in your Bible
3. TALK about how the verse relates to your highs & lows
4. PRAY for your highs & lows, for your family, and for the world
5. BLESS one another.
However, it is one thing to give homes a ministry tool – it is another thing to help them use it and use it well. Faith habits take time and effort to implement in household life, especially since many parents and children are unfamiliar with doing “spiritual stuff” at home.
In this post, Debbie Streicher gives some good examples and suggestions of ways in which congregational leaders can model the “F.A.I.T.H 5” to parents.
